Hotels Near Javits Center NYC: Best Places to Stay Nearby
Eight hotels worth booking for a Javits show, sorted by what the walk to the convention floor is really like on a 7 a.m. setup day, in the rain, with a rolling case behind you.

The Jacob K. Javits Convention Center sits at 429 Eleventh Avenue, but the address undersells it. The building runs along Eleventh from West 34th Street, where the glass Crystal Palace entrance faces the 7 train, up to around 40th Street, where the newer North Javits building sits. Six blocks is a long way to walk twice a day.
So when people search for hotels near Javits Center, the real question is which hotels are close to your hall. For this guide, near means you can walk to the show floor without a cab or a subway transfer. A handful of hotels do it in about five minutes. Push out to ten or fifteen and you reach Hell’s Kitchen, Midtown West and the Penn Station edge, which is where the rates usually start to relax.
Javits sits on the western edge of the Hudson Yards area, and the newest hotels cluster there. That’s convenient, and it’s also why the closest rooms tend to cost the most. Proximity matters more here than on a sightseeing trip: you’ll make the trip at least twice a day, often at hours when you’d rather not, and 11th Avenue is wide, exposed and windy once you’re out on it.

Best Hotels Near Javits Center at a Glance
Walk times run to the nearest sensible Javits entrance at a normal pace. Add a few minutes if your hall is at the other end of the building, if it’s raining or if you’re towing gear.
Best Hotels Near Javits Center NYC
These are the Javits Center hotels we’d actually shortlist, picked for different kinds of trips rather than ranked one through eight. Every one was checked as open under its current name for this update. There’s no hotel inside the Javits Center itself, so every option involves at least a short walk outside.

Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West
461 West 34th Street, at Tenth Avenue
This is the one we’d book first for a normal multi-day show. It sits on the corner of 34th and Tenth, across from Hudson Yards, so the walk to the Crystal Palace end is one long avenue block along 34th Street. That’s close enough to drop back to the room at lunch and still make an afternoon session.
It’s a big, newer tower, 399 rooms over 29 floors, and the higher floors get real skyline views. Catria, the Italian restaurant downstairs, covers breakfast through dinner, which helps on long days. Some guests find the standard rooms on the small side, and parking is off site through a partner garage rather than in the building.
Equinox Hotel New York
33 Hudson Yards, at Eleventh Avenue
Equinox is the closest full hotel to Javits’ 34th Street end, about a block south in the Hudson Yards tower complex. Rooms start at roughly 400 square feet, which is rare in Manhattan and useful if you’re spreading out samples or working from the room. Guests get the 60,000-square-foot Equinox club, an outdoor pool and the spa, and Electric Lemon on the 24th floor does dinner with Hudson River views.
The trade-off is price. It’s routinely one of the most expensive hotels in Manhattan, and convention weeks don’t help. The club and pool are adults only (18 and over), so it’s not the family pick. Is a three-minute walk worth paying several hundred dollars more a night than the Courtyard down the block? For a client-facing trip, maybe. For most attendees, no.
Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Midtown West
444 Tenth Avenue, entrance at 35th Street
Smaller than its neighbors, with about 148 rooms, and usually a notch cheaper than the Courtyard for a similar walk. Head west on 35th Street and you’re at Javits’ 11th Avenue doors in about six minutes, and the 7 train is closer still. The Hudson Bar Room handles lunch and dinner, and the gym is open around the clock.
It’s a straightforward select-service stay, so don’t expect much atmosphere. Rooms are clean and modern rather than memorable. That’s often exactly right for a show where you’re out of the room 14 hours a day.
Pendry Manhattan West
438 West 33rd Street, near Tenth Avenue
Pendry sits in the Manhattan West development, a little east of Hudson Yards, so the walk to Javits is slightly longer than from Equinox or the Courtyard. What you get for those extra minutes is a quieter block, rooms with breathing space and Bar Pendry, a lobby bar that works well for a client drink after the floor closes.
The Michelin Guide gives it Two Keys. It usually prices just under or alongside Equinox, well above everything else here. It also holds luggage, which helps on a last day when your flight is hours after teardown.
YOTEL New York Times Square
570 Tenth Avenue, at West 42nd Street
Ignore the Times Square in the name. YOTEL is on Tenth at 42nd, much closer to the north end of Javits than to Times Square, which makes it a good match when your show is in North Javits. Rooms are called cabins, and they’re compact: smart layouts, not much floor. The rooftop, Social Drink and Food, is one of the largest hotel rooftops in the city and fills up on show nights.
Check-in runs through kiosks, and a robotic luggage system holds bags. Some guests report a fee for bag storage, so ask before you count on it. If you’re driving in with gear, the hotel advertises a discount at a partner garage with direct elevator access, which is worth confirming for your dates.
Ink 48 Hotel
653 Eleventh Avenue, at 48th Street
Ink 48 is a straight walk down 11th Avenue to North Javits, about eight blocks. It’s in a converted printing plant a block from the Hudson, with 222 rooms, many of them roomier than average for Manhattan, and west-facing rooms that look over the river. The rooftop bar, Hudson VU, is the draw, though it can fill up or book out on busy nights.
You’ll see it listed as Kimpton Ink48 on older sites. It now runs independently, and it has signed to join Accor’s MGallery brand after a renovation planned to finish in 2028. The subway is a hike from here (the C and E at 50th and Eighth), so this works best if Javits and Hell’s Kitchen are most of your trip.

Homewood Suites by Hilton New York/Midtown Manhattan Times Square-South
312 West 37th Street, between Eighth & Ninth Avenues
Every room here is a suite with a kitchen, and Hilton includes breakfast. On a four- or five-night show, being able to keep food in the fridge and skip one restaurant meal a day adds up. There’s guest laundry too, which matters more than you’d think by day four.
The walk is about two and a half avenue blocks west along 37th Street, so it’s the far edge of comfortable walking distance. In return you’re ten minutes from the Theater District and closer to Midtown’s restaurants.
Fairfield Inn & Suites New York Midtown Manhattan/Penn Station
325 West 33rd Street, between Eighth & Ninth Avenues
If you’re coming in on Amtrak or the LIRR, this splits the difference: it faces Moynihan Train Hall’s 33rd Street entrance, and Javits is a walk west along 33rd or 34th. Breakfast is included, the front desk runs 24 hours and there’s a rooftop bar.
Rooms are typical newer Fairfield, clean and modest in size. It’s the farthest walk on this list, but on arrival and departure days it saves you the cab between station and hotel entirely.
Map of Hotels Near Javits Center NYC
The map opens on Javits. Add your dates, then read it from left to right: hotels between 11th and 10th Avenues are the true short walks, Hudson Yards sits just south of 34th Street, and everything east of Ninth Avenue is Midtown West and the Penn Station side, where you trade minutes for choice and price.
Prices and availability come from booking partners and change by date. We may earn a commission if you book, at no extra cost to you.
Hotels Closest to Javits Center
“Closest” depends on which end of the building your show uses. A hotel at 34th Street can be four minutes from the Crystal Palace and twelve from North Javits. Check your badge pickup and hall before you book. Exhibitor manuals and show websites usually say which entrance to use.
The true short walks
Equinox is a block south of the 34th Street end. Courtyard and Four Points sit on Tenth Avenue at 34th and 35th, one avenue block from the doors.
Still easy most days
Pendry from the south, YOTEL from the north. Both are fine on a dry morning and fine with a carry-on.
The edge of walkable
Ink 48 down 11th Avenue, and Homewood Suites and Fairfield from the east. More choice and better rates, longer mornings.

Hotels Within Walking Distance of Javits Center
Most people will walk 15 minutes to a convention without thinking twice. That opens up a much bigger area than the handful of hotels right by the building, and it’s where a lot of the better value sits.
What you gain by walking farther
Lower rates during big shows, more restaurants on your block, easier subway access to the rest of Manhattan, and often quieter streets. From Midtown West or the Penn Station side, Broadway and the Garden are close too.
What you give up
A slower commute, more weather exposure and a harder walk with bags. The midday run back to the room for a jacket or a charger stops being practical somewhere past ten minutes.
A useful rule: if you’re an exhibitor or speaker, stay inside ten minutes. If you’re attending and spending evenings out, fifteen is fine, and the 7 train covers the rest.
Best Hotels Near Javits Center for Conventions and Trade Shows
A convention trip runs on a different clock from a vacation. You’re out early, back late, and the hotel’s job is to make the walk short and the evening easy. These are the things worth weighing for a Javits show.
The morning walk
Doors and badge lines bunch up before opening. A five-minute walk lets you leave later and still beat the line. Courtyard, Four Points and Equinox win here.
A midday reset
Being able to duck back to the room between sessions is underrated. That only works if you’re inside about seven minutes of your hall.
Evening plans
Networking dinners usually head east into Hell’s Kitchen or Hudson Yards. Pendry and Ink 48 have bars that work for a client drink; YOTEL‘s rooftop is the louder version.
Food on a long day
Included breakfast at Homewood Suites and Fairfield saves time as much as money when the show floor opens early.
Best Javits Hotels for Exhibitors
Exhibitors have a different problem from attendees: stuff. Boxes, rolling cases, printed materials, a last-minute run back for the extension cord. Every extra block gets multiplied by the number of trips you make on setup and teardown days.
Stay close for setup: on move-in days, a hotel inside seven minutes saves you the most. The Tenth Avenue cluster, Courtyard and Four Points, is the practical choice.
Ship the heavy pieces: most shows route exhibit freight through an official contractor. Check your exhibitor manual before you plan on carrying anything bulky from a hotel room.
Room size matters: if you’ll be storing samples or prepping materials in the room, the roughly 400-square-foot rooms at Equinox and the suites at Homewood Suites give you space that standard Midtown rooms don’t.
Plan the last day: teardown often runs past checkout. Ask the hotel to hold bags; Pendry does, and most full-service hotels will.
Best Hotels Near Javits Center for Business Travelers
For a solo business trip, the Courtyard and Four Points cover the basics well: short walk, desk in the room, a restaurant downstairs and Marriott Bonvoy points. If you’re hosting clients, Pendry gives you a lobby bar and a setting that makes a good impression. YOTEL rents small glass-walled meeting cabins, handy for a quick team huddle away from the show floor.
Whatever you book, check whether your company has a negotiated rate, and whether the show itself has a hotel block. Show blocks sometimes include perks or shuttle access, and they can be the only rooms left close by during the biggest events.

Hotels Near Javits Center and Hudson Yards
Javits and Hudson Yards are next-door neighbors, and the newest, most polished hotels near Javits are in the Hudson Yards area. Equinox is inside the development, Pendry is in Manhattan West just east of it, and the Courtyard and Four Points sit across Tenth Avenue.
The upside is easy evenings: The Shops at Hudson Yards and its restaurants, the High Line’s northern end, and Edge, the observation deck at 30 Hudson Yards, are all minutes away. The downside is price, and a neighborhood that still feels newer and more corporate than lived-in.
Javits Center vs Hudson Yards: what’s the difference?
Javits is the convention center: one building on 11th Avenue between 34th and about 40th Streets. Hudson Yards is the development and surrounding area just south and east of it, with the towers, shops, the Vessel and the 7 train station. Many hotels sold as “Hudson Yards hotels” are excellent for Javits, but not all of them. One east of Tenth Avenue, or down by 30th Street, can be a longer walk than the name suggests. Look at the cross street, not the neighborhood label.
Luxury Hotels Near Javits Center
There are two real luxury choices within an easy walk, and they suit different people. Equinox is built around fitness and sleep: big rooms, a huge gym, outdoor pool, spa and the shortest walk on the list. Pendry is warmer and more social, with a better bar scene and a quieter feel.
Is the premium worth it for a Javits trip? It is when you’re hosting clients, working long days from the room or tacking a weekend onto the show. For a straightforward attendee trip, the Courtyard gets you nearly the same walk for a fraction of the price. For luxury stays elsewhere in the city, see our guide to luxury NYC hotels for special occasions.
Marriott Hotels Near Javits Center
If you’re collecting Bonvoy points, three Marriott-brand hotels make sense for Javits. Check your member rate against what you see elsewhere, and what your tier includes.
Marriott near Javits Center
- Courtyard Manhattan/Midtown West: 34th and Tenth, about a 5–7 minute walk
- Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Midtown West: Tenth at 35th, similar walk
- Fairfield Inn & Suites Penn Station: by Moynihan, breakfast included, longer walk
Hilton near Javits Center
- Homewood Suites Times Square-South: suites with kitchens, about 12–14 minutes
Cheap Hotels Near Javits Center
Cheap is relative out here. The blocks right around Javits are mostly new construction, and there are almost no true budget hotels within a five-minute walk. What you can do is pick the right trade-off.
When rates jump
Big shows soak up rooms across the far West Side, and fan conventions like New York Comic Con in October can push nearby prices up sharply. Busy fall weekends and holiday weeks pile on. If your dates are flexible, check a night either side of the show.
Where the value usually is
YOTEL and Four Points often price well for their location. Included breakfast at Homewood Suites and Fairfield narrows the gap. The Penn Station side and Midtown West tend to open up more options than the Hudson Yards blocks.
The 7 train trick
The 7 runs from Hudson Yards through Times Square and Grand Central into Long Island City, Queens, where hotels can price well below Manhattan during big shows. It’s a direct ride with no transfer. See our Long Island City guide for the neighborhood. For value stays across the city, our budget-friendly NYC hotels guide has more.
One caution: a cheaper room 30 minutes away isn’t always cheaper once you add cabs on a rainy morning or a late night. For a one- or two-night show, paying more to be close often comes out even.
Where to Stay Around Javits Center: Hudson Yards vs Midtown West vs Penn Station
Every area below works for Javits. The difference is what your evenings and arrival look like.
Hudson Yards
The shortest walks and the newest hotels, plus easy evenings at Hudson Yards and the High Line. Expect the highest prices and a corporate feel after dark.
Picks: Equinox, Courtyard, Four Points, Pendry
Hell’s Kitchen edge
Best for the north halls and for dinner. Ninth Avenue’s restaurants are two avenues east. See our Hell’s Kitchen guide and best Hell’s Kitchen restaurants.
Picks: YOTEL, Ink 48
Midtown West
The biggest supply of rooms and price points, closer to Broadway and Times Square. The walk is 10 to 15 minutes, or one stop on the 7 back from Times Square. See our Midtown West guide.
Pick: Homewood Suites
Penn Station & Moynihan
The smart choice if you’re arriving by Amtrak, LIRR or NJ Transit. Javits is a walk west, or a short ride on the M34-SBS. Our guide to hotels near Penn Station NYC covers the station side in detail.
Pick: Fairfield Penn Station
Best Hotels Near Javits Center for Families
Family trips to Javits tend to be fan events, and those mean long days and crowds. Homewood Suites is the clear pick: separate living space, a kitchen and breakfast included. Fairfield works for a short stay when breakfast and a train connection matter. Skip Equinox with kids, since the club and pool are adults only.
Before booking, check the actual bed setup and maximum occupancy rather than trusting a “family room” label. Our family-friendly NYC hotels guide has more options citywide.
Best Javits Hotels for a One-Night Convention Stay
For one night, proximity beats everything else. You won’t use the neighborhood, so pay for the shortest walk you can afford: Courtyard or Four Points for most people, Equinox if budget isn’t the issue. Book a refundable rate if your plans hinge on a flight or train, and ask for a bag hold on checkout day so you can go straight back to the floor.
Is the Javits Center Area a Good Place to Stay in NYC?
For a show, yes. For a general NYC trip, it depends on what you want from the evenings.
Why it works
- Short walks to the show floor
- Newer hotels, many with good views
- The 7 train to Times Square and Grand Central
- Hudson Yards, the High Line and Hell’s Kitchen nearby
What to know
- Few budget hotels right by the building
- 11th Avenue feels empty at night outside show hours
- Long, exposed avenue blocks in bad weather
- Classic Midtown street life is a 15-minute walk east
Stay here if the show is the reason for the trip. Stay farther east if you’re adding a weekend of Broadway, dinners and sightseeing. Our Times Square hotels guide and Theater District hotels guide cover that side of town.
Getting to Javits Center: The 7 Train, Bus and Cabs
The 7 is the line that makes this part of town work. From 34 St–Hudson Yards, it’s one stop to Times Square–42nd Street, a few more to Grand Central, then on into Queens. That makes any hotel near a 7 stop a reasonable option, even if it’s nowhere near Javits on foot. Our NYC subway tips for shows and events cover crowds and timing.
Driving in? Javits isn’t a place to count on parking for a quick drop. Use a garage near your hotel and walk. Our NYC parking guide has the basics.

When Should You Book a Hotel Near Javits Center?
As soon as you know your show dates. The closest hotels are a small group, and big events fill them first.
Check the Javits calendar
Javits posts its event schedule on its official website. If a major show overlaps your dates, expect tighter availability across the far West Side, even if you’re not attending it.
Look at the show block
Many trade shows reserve room blocks at nearby hotels. Compare the block rate against open booking; sometimes it’s better, sometimes it isn’t.
Book refundable early
Lock in a refundable rate as soon as dates are firm, then keep checking. Prices can drop as blocks release closer to the show.
Compare the total
Taxes and daily fees add a noticeable amount in New York. Compare the full price of the stay, not the nightly headline.
What hotels near Javits Center cost
Roughly three tiers. Select-service hotels like Four Points, Courtyard and YOTEL make up the value-to-midrange group. Homewood Suites and Fairfield sit in a similar band once breakfast is counted. Equinox and Pendry are true luxury. All of them can jump sharply during the biggest Javits weeks, so judge a rate against other hotels on the same dates, not against a quiet week.
Turning a Javits Trip Into a Night Out
When the floor closes, Hell’s Kitchen is the nearest real restaurant district, about two avenues east on Ninth. A Broadway show is a short 7 train ride away; our guides to restaurants near Broadway and pre-show dining help you time dinner before an 8 p.m. curtain, and getting to a Broadway show covers the ride. For the trip back late, see getting home late at night in NYC.
Hotels Near Javits Center: Frequently Asked Questions
What are the best hotels near Javits Center NYC?
For most convention trips, Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West at 34th Street and Tenth Avenue is the best overall pick, with a 5 to 7 minute walk and fair rates for the area. Equinox Hotel New York is the closest luxury option, Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Midtown West is the value pick among the closest hotels, and Homewood Suites on West 37th Street works best for families and longer stays.
What hotels are closest to Javits Center?
There’s no hotel inside the Javits Center. The closest are Equinox Hotel New York at 33 Hudson Yards, about a block south of the 34th Street end, and two hotels on Tenth Avenue one avenue block east: Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West at 34th Street and Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Midtown West at 35th Street. For shows in North Javits, YOTEL New York on Tenth Avenue at 42nd Street is also close.
Are there cheap hotels near Javits Center?
Not many true budget hotels sit right beside Javits, and rates can jump during big shows. YOTEL New York and Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Midtown West often price well for their location, and breakfast at Homewood Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites Penn Station narrows the gap. Hotels along the 7 train, including in Long Island City, Queens, can be cheaper and are a direct ride to 34 St–Hudson Yards.
Is Javits Center in Hudson Yards?
Javits sits on the western edge of the Hudson Yards area, on 11th Avenue between 34th and about 40th Streets. The Hudson Yards development, with its towers, shops and the 7 train station, is just south and east of it. Many Hudson Yards hotels are good for Javits, but check the cross street, since some are a longer walk than the name suggests.
What hotels are within walking distance of Javits Center?
Within about 10 minutes: Equinox Hotel New York, Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West, Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Midtown West, Pendry Manhattan West and YOTEL New York. Within about 15 minutes: Ink 48 Hotel on 11th Avenue at 48th Street, Homewood Suites on West 37th Street and Fairfield Inn & Suites Penn Station on West 33rd Street.
Is it better to stay near Javits or Penn Station?
Stay near Javits if the show is the main reason for the trip, especially if you’re exhibiting or working long days. Stay near Penn Station if you’re arriving by Amtrak, LIRR or NJ Transit, want more hotel choice, or plan to spend evenings in Midtown. Javits is about a 10 minute walk from Moynihan Train Hall and 12 to 15 minutes from the main Penn Station entrances.
What subway goes to Javits Center?
The 7 train. Its 34 St–Hudson Yards station is steps from the Javits Center’s 34th Street end. From there it’s one stop to Times Square–42nd Street and a few more to Grand Central. The M34-SBS bus also runs along 34th Street to 11th Avenue.
How far is Penn Station from Javits Center?
About 12 to 15 minutes on foot from the main Penn Station entrances, walking west along 33rd or 34th Street, and about 10 minutes from Moynihan Train Hall. The M34-SBS bus along 34th Street is the easiest option with luggage. The 7 train doesn’t stop at Penn Station.
Are there luxury hotels near Javits Center?
Yes. Equinox Hotel New York at 33 Hudson Yards is the closest, with large rooms, a big Equinox club, an outdoor pool and a spa; the club and pool are for guests 18 and over. Pendry Manhattan West on West 33rd Street is about a 7 to 9 minute walk and holds Two Michelin Keys.
Is there a Marriott near Javits Center?
Yes. Courtyard New York Manhattan/Midtown West at 461 West 34th Street and Four Points by Sheraton Manhattan Midtown West at 444 Tenth Avenue are both about a 5 to 7 minute walk. Fairfield Inn & Suites Penn Station on West 33rd Street is a longer walk but faces Moynihan Train Hall.
Where should I stay for a convention at Javits Center?
Exhibitors and speakers should stay within about 10 minutes, ideally on Tenth Avenue near 34th Street or in Hudson Yards. Attendees can comfortably go 15 minutes out to Midtown West, Hell’s Kitchen or the Penn Station side for better rates. Check which end of the building your show uses, since Javits stretches from 34th Street to about 40th Street.
The Bottom Line
Match the hotel to the hall and the job. Exhibitors and anyone on setup duty should stay on Tenth Avenue or in Hudson Yards, where the Courtyard and Four Points give you the short walk without the luxury price. Attendees can look 10 to 15 minutes out for better rates and better dinners. And if the train or the Garden is part of the trip, the Penn Station side is only a short walk east.
