Stevie Wonder at Madison Square Garden
Songs in the Key of Life, played in full, on the night the U.S. leg opens. Tickets, timing, setlist context and how to plan the night around Penn Plaza.
Stevie Wonder brings the Songs in the Key of Life Performances 50th Anniversary Tour to Madison Square Garden on Thursday, November 19, 2026. The show starts at 8:00 PM, doors open at 7:00 PM, and the New York date opens the American leg of the tour.
The tour announcement says the 1976 double album will be performed in its entirety, so this isn’t a greatest-hits night that tips its hat to an anniversary. It’s the record, all of it, live in the Garden. This guide is for anyone weighing Stevie Wonder concert tickets for the MSG show: what you’re buying into, where to sit, when to buy, and how to make the night work around Penn Station.

The whole album
All 21 songs from the original double LP and its bonus EP are the backbone of the night, per the tour announcement.
U.S. opening night
After 12 shows in the UK and Europe, the American run starts here. New York gets the first U.S. look at the production.
A Garden callback
The last time Wonder toured this album, in November 2014, the run also kicked off at Madison Square Garden.

Stevie Wonder Concert Tickets
Stevie Wonder concert tickets for the MSG show have been on sale since the North American general on-sale on September 10. Madison Square Garden routes primary sales through Ticketmaster, and a resale market runs alongside it. That means the same section can show up at several different prices at once, from different sellers, with very different fee structures.
We don’t post a price on this page because it would be stale by tomorrow. What holds steady is how to shop it:
🎯 You want a specific section
Decide on your section first, then compare every listing in it. Row matters less than people think in the lower bowl. Side versus end matters more.
🔀 You’re flexible on seats
Set a budget, then compare across two or three sections at once. A good 200-level side seat often beats a far-corner 100-level seat at a similar price.
🧾 Compare all-in prices
Look at the total with fees before deciding. A cheaper-looking listing can end up higher once fees are added at checkout.
👀 Read the listing notes
Check for limited-view or obstructed-view tags, and check how the floor is configured on the seat map. MSG floor layouts change from show to show.
Pairs are the easiest seats to find together. If you’re buying for four or more, expect fewer side-by-side options and be ready to split into two pairs if needed.
Stevie Wonder MSG Tickets
This page covers one show: Stevie Wonder at Madison Square Garden on November 19. It isn’t a page for the whole tour. That matters more than usual here, because MSG is the only New York date on the announced schedule. There’s no second Garden night, and no Barclays Center or UBS Arena stop on the 18-show itinerary.
If Nov. 19 doesn’t work for you, the closest alternatives are Chicago on Nov. 21 and Washington, D.C. on Nov. 23. For anyone in the Northeast corridor, the D.C. date at Capital One Arena is the realistic backup.
Compare current Stevie Wonder MSG tickets across sections for the November 19 show, all in one place.

Section-first buyers
If you have a specific section in mind, like a lower-bowl side seat or the floor, this is when the choice is widest. Waiting gives you fewer options in that section, not more.

The tour opens Oct. 13 in Birmingham. Setlists and reviews from the UK and European shows will show what the production looks like and how long the night runs before you commit.

Check both primary and resale availability again. Mobile tickets transfer instantly, so day-of purchases are workable if you’re comfortable with the risk.
For context only: Wonder’s previous MSG stop, in October 2024, was reported as a sold-out show. That says something about New York demand for him, not about what this date will do. For the general playbook, see when to buy concert tickets and our guide to finding last-minute concert tickets.
Stevie Wonder Tour 2026
This fall’s Stevie Wonder concert tour is an 18-show run promoted by Live Nation. It opens October 13 at Utilita Arena Birmingham, plays the UK and Europe through Nov. 11 in Glasgow, then crosses the Atlantic. Madison Square Garden is the first stop on the American side, which makes Nov. 19 the U.S. debut of this production.

Songs in the Key of Life 50th Anniversary Tour
Songs in the Key of Life came out in the fall of 1976 as a double LP with a four-song bonus EP tucked inside. The full name of this tour is the Songs In The Key Of Life Performances 50th Anniversary Tour, and the announcement is direct about it: the album performed in its entirety.
Wonder has done this before. He first played the album front to back at his House Full of Toys benefit in Los Angeles in 2013, then took it on the road in 2014 and 2015. That tour opened at Madison Square Garden on a Thursday night in November 2014. A review of that opening show described it as running mostly in album order, with the bonus EP songs placed between sides instead of saved for the end. There was a short break between halves, and “Superstition” came back for the encore.
That’s history, not a promise. The 2026 production may run the same way or differently. The record itself is the fixed point, and here’s what’s on it:
- Love’s in Need of Love Today
- Have a Talk with God
- Village Ghetto Land
- Contusion
- Sir Duke
- I Wish
- Knocks Me Off My Feet
- Pastime Paradise
- Summer Soft
- Ordinary Pain
- Isn’t She Lovely
- Joy Inside My Tears
- Black Man
- Ngiculela – Es Una Historia – I Am Singing
- If It’s Magic
- As
- Another Star
- Saturn
- Ebony Eyes
- All Day Sucker
- Easy Goin’ Evening (My Mama’s Call)
Original 1976 track sequence shown for reference. The live running order for 2026 has not been published.
Stevie Wonder Setlist for the 2026 Tour
The usual Stevie Wonder setlist question has an unusually solid answer this time, at least for the core. Here’s where it stands:
The album, in full
The tour announcement says the album will be performed in its entirety. Expect the 21 songs above to anchor the show.
Order, extras, encore
Running order, any songs beyond the album, encores and guest appearances for the MSG show are all unannounced.
Europe setlists
Twelve shows happen before New York, starting Oct. 13. Those setlists are the best preview of the MSG night.
One thing to know going in: when Wonder toured the album in 2014, the New York opener left out some of his best-known non-album hits, including “Higher Ground” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered.” If those are what you most want to hear, an album show might not fit. If you want “Sir Duke,” “I Wish,” “As” and the deep cuts in between, this is the show. We’ll add the verified Nov. 19 MSG setlist here after the concert.
How Long Is a Stevie Wonder Concert?
The exact running time for the Nov. 19 MSG concert hasn’t been officially posted. Here’s what we can say with confidence:
- The album alone runs well past 90 minutes as recorded, before any banter, solos, extended jams or encore.
- On the 2014 album tour, a Boston review reported a show of about three and a half hours with one short break. Treat that as history, not a guarantee for 2026.
- Once the Europe leg starts on Oct. 13, real 2026 run times will be available, and we’ll update this section.
For planning: don’t book a tight post-show dinner, and if you’re taking the LIRR or NJ Transit home, check the late departures from Penn Station before you go. Our guide to getting home after a show in NYC covers the options.
Is There an Opening Act for Stevie Wonder at MSG?
No opening act is currently listed on Madison Square Garden’s official event page for Nov. 19, and the tour announcement doesn’t name one. Given how long the album show runs, that wouldn’t be surprising. Assume the 8:00 PM time refers to Wonder unless the listing changes. We’ll update this section if a support act or special guest is added.
Where Is the Stevie Wonder Concert in New York?
The Stevie Wonder concert in New York is at Madison Square Garden, 4 Penn Plaza, filling the block between Seventh and Eighth Avenues from West 31st to West 33rd Street. It sits directly on top of Penn Station, on the line where Midtown West meets Chelsea and Koreatown. For the arena itself, including entrances, policies and its history as a music room, see our Madison Square Garden venue guide.

Best Seats for Stevie Wonder at MSG
A full-album show with a big band, backing singers and horns is a different seating call than a solo pop set. It’s worth seeing the whole stage, not just the person at the keyboards. The short version:
Closest, but flat
Nothing beats the distance. The floor is level, though, so sightlines depend on who’s in front of you. Check the seat map to see whether the floor is seated or general admission.
Our pick for this show
You’re raised above the floor, still close, and can see the whole band. For an album night where the arrangements are the point, this is the best balance of view and sound.
Full picture, better value
Farther away, but you see the full production clearly. Side sections near center usually beat the far end of the 100s for both view and price.
For level-by-level detail, including the Chase Bridges, sightlines by section and what to avoid, use our Madison Square Garden seating guide.
What Time Should You Arrive?
Doors open at 7:00 PM and the show is listed for 8:00 PM. Aim to be at the Garden between 7:15 and 7:30. That leaves room for security lines, ticket scanning and the walk up to your level without rushing in as the lights go down.
- Mobile tickets: MSG asks guests to have digital tickets downloaded and easy to reach before arriving. Add them to your phone’s wallet at home, not on line at Seventh Avenue.
- Your entrance: Check your ticket for the suggested entrance based on your seat location. It saves a lap around the building.
- Bags: Bags have to fit under your seat. Full venue policies are on our MSG venue page.
- Accessibility: MSG Accessibility Services can be reached at 888-609-7599 for accessible seating and services.
