Now You See Me Live on Broadway
Four real magicians, one heist-movie premise and eight weeks at the Al Hirschfeld. Here’s what the show is, who it suits, and how to plan the night.
Now You See Me Live brings a large-scale magic and illusion show to Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, in a limited engagement that starts Wednesday, November 11, 2026 and runs through Sunday, January 3, 2027. It takes the Four Horsemen idea from the Now You See Me films and hands it to four working magicians: an escapologist, two illusionists and a mentalist.
It’s about 90 minutes with no intermission, it’s pitched at ages 5 and up, and it’s built for the holiday crowd: weekend performances start as early as 11 AM. If you’ve been weighing Now You See Me Live tickets, the short version: this Now You See Me Broadway show is a big, loud, effects-driven night out rather than a play, and the run is short.
Who Now You See Me Live Is For
Not every Broadway ticket fits every group. Here’s the honest sort.
First-Timers
A strong pick if your group isn’t sure about musicals. No plot to follow, no songs to sit through, and it’s over in about 90 minutes.
Good fitFamilies
Ages 5+, morning and afternoon weekend times, and no intermission to wrangle. Check the noise and effects notes before booking for a sensitive kid.
Good fitDate Night
Fun and easy to talk about over dinner after. A 7 PM curtain lets you out around 8:30, early enough for a proper late reservation.
Works wellTheater Diehards
If you want character, music and a story with stakes, this isn’t that. It’s a magic show in a Broadway house, and it knows it.

Now You See Me Live Tickets
Now You See Me Live tickets are on sale for every performance of the run, from Wednesday, November 11, 2026 through Sunday, January 3, 2027. With only about eight weeks on the calendar, the date you can make matters more than the exact seat, so start there and work backward.
Price check, as of October 12
At the time we checked, listed prices started in the mid-$50s on several dates, with premium seats running close to $300 on TDF’s full-price listing. Prices move by date and section, and holiday weeks usually sit higher, so treat these as a rough range rather than a quote.
How to pick a performance
- Weeknights (7 PM) are the easiest way to see the show without fighting holiday weekend crowds in Times Square, and often the cheapest.
- Weekend mornings (11 AM) are unusual on Broadway and great for families. You’re out by about 12:30, with the whole afternoon free.
- Saturday 3 PM and 7:30 PM are the classic tourist slots. Book these first if your trip is locked to one weekend.
- Mondays were dark in the opening week’s posted calendar. Holiday weeks often shift Broadway schedules, so confirm the exact day in the widget.
Discounts, lottery and rush
As of October 12, 2026, no digital lottery or rush policy had been announced for Now You See Me Live, and TDF’s listing showed no TKTS discount. The production’s ticketing page does mention savings for groups of 10 or more, which is worth a look for office outings and family reunions. If a rush or lottery appears, we’ll add it here and to our Broadway rush and lottery guide.

Now You See Me Live on Broadway
Now You See Me Live on Broadway is a stage adaptation of the films’ central idea: a crew of magicians who pull off impossible heists in front of an audience. On stage, that becomes a show where the Four Horsemen take turns with solo sets and team up for the large-scale illusions. Nobody from the movies is in it. The Horsemen are played by professional magicians with their own specialties.
The production comes from Tim Lawson and Simon Painter, the team behind The Illusionists, working with Lionsgate. Before Broadway it played engagements in Australia, Singapore and London, including a 2026 run at the London Coliseum. New York gets it as a limited holiday booking at the Al Hirschfeld.

Behind the curtain
Adam Trent is credited as cocreator. Ash Jacks McCready handles creative and stage direction, Kirsty White is creative director, Enzo Wenye is illusion director, Hugo Mercier-Bosseny designed the lighting and Evan Duffy wrote the score. The Four Horsemen characters are based on those created by Boaz Yakin and Edward Ricourt for the films.
Live show vs. the films
The films use editing and effects to sell the tricks. A live show can’t. Everything happens in real time in a room full of people trying to catch it, which is the whole appeal. You don’t need to have seen any of the movies to follow along, and knowing them won’t spoil anything.
A Broadway Magic Show at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre
A magic show on Broadway is rarer than you’d think. Most magic in New York happens in small rooms, lounges and Off-Broadway houses where the appeal is how close you are. Now You See Me Live goes the other way: a Broadway-size stage, a full lighting rig, pyro, haze and illusions designed to read from the back of a 1,000-plus-seat theater.
That makes it a different purchase from most magic show NYC listings. You trade intimacy for scale. This isn’t one Broadway magician working a solo act; it’s a full illusionist magic show with escapes, mentalism and team illusions, staged like a production rather than a set.
Searching for a magic NYC show? Here’s where this one fits.
A holiday-only Broadway booking, not an open-ended residency. Gone after Jan 3.
Four performers with different specialties, including escape work and mentalism.
Full Broadway theater, Broadway pricing and Broadway logistics, in a Theater District house.
Comparing magic shows in New York? The questions that matter are scale, venue and timing. This is the Broadway-scale option, in a real Broadway theater, for a short window around the holidays.
What to Expect from Now You See Me Live
No spoilers here. Revealing an illusion is the one thing a magic-show guide shouldn’t do. But you should know the shape of the night before you buy.
Big stage illusions
The marketing promises high-tech illusions and large-scale spectacle. Expect big set-piece moments built for a full theater.
Escapes and stunts
An escapologist in the lineup means at least some of the show leans on danger and tension, not just sleight of hand.
Mentalism
Mind-reading segments tend to involve the crowd. Live magic shows commonly bring volunteers up, and this production hasn’t said how it picks them.
Loud, bright, fast
Strobes, lasers, loud bangs, pyrotechnics and haze are all listed. It’s an effects show, paced to keep moving for 90 minutes straight.
Official content notes
The production lists strobe and laser lighting, loud bangs, pyrotechnics, theatrical smoke and haze, and a live scorpion. If anyone in your group is light-sensitive, noise-sensitive or not a fan of arachnids, factor that in now rather than mid-show.
Now You See Me Live Runtime
The Now You See Me Live runtime is about 90 minutes with no intermission, per the production’s ticketing page and TDF’s show listing. That’s short by Broadway standards, and it shapes the whole night.
End times are estimates based on the posted runtime. Doors open about 40 minutes before showtime. With no intermission, hit the restroom before you sit down.
Now You See Me Live Reviews
As of October 12, 2026, Broadway critics haven’t reviewed Now You See Me Live. Performances don’t start until November 11, and New York reviews usually land once a production sets its official press date.
We’re not going to fill this space with recycled pull quotes from earlier international runs, or invent a consensus that doesn’t exist yet. When New York reviews publish, we’ll summarize what critics actually said, good and bad, right here.
Is Now You See Me Live Good for Kids?
The production rates it for ages 5 and up, and children under 5 aren’t admitted, lap babies included. For a lot of families the schedule is the selling point: 11 AM weekend performances are rare on Broadway, and there’s no intermission to wrangle.
The content notes are the thing to weigh. Loud bangs, strobes and pyro can be thrilling for one 7-year-old and too much for another, and the live scorpion is the kind of detail kids remember. If your child does fine at fireworks and action movies, this is likely an easy yes. If not, a seat further back, or a different show, may be the kinder call.

How Long Is Now You See Me Live Running on Broadway?
Now You See Me Live is a limited engagement of about eight weeks: Wednesday, November 11, 2026 through Sunday, January 3, 2027. No extension has been announced for the Now You See Me Live Broadway run, and it’s booked for the holiday season, so plan as if January 3 is the real last day.
If you’re putting together a December trip, it sits nicely next to the rest of the season. See what else is playing in our best Broadway shows of fall 2026 guide and the upcoming Broadway shows list.

Now You See Me Live at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre
Now You See Me Live at the Al Hirschfeld plays one of the bigger houses on the west side of the Theater District, at 302 West 45th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. It’s a traditional proscenium theater with an orchestra level and a mezzanine, which suits a show built on stage pictures and big reveals.
A few practical things for this booking: the orchestra is step-free from the street, and wheelchair locations are in the orchestra only. The mezzanine is up about 20 steps, and there’s no elevator or escalator. Assistive listening devices are available at the lobby headset booth with a photo ID deposit.
For the building’s history, box office details and getting there, see our full Al Hirschfeld Theatre guide. For access planning across Broadway, our Broadway accessibility guide goes deeper.
Seating for Now You See Me Live
Illusions are designed to be watched from the front. That makes a centered view worth more here than at a typical play.
Center orchestra
Close to the performers, good for the solo sets and mentalism. The safe all-around pick if it’s in budget.
Front mezzanine
Shows the whole stage picture, which helps for the big set pieces and lighting. Often the smartest value in the house for a spectacle show.
Far side seats
The ones to think twice about. Extreme angles can cut off part of the stage, and illusions are staged for the middle of the room.
Remember the mezzanine is stairs-only. Row-by-row detail, sightlines and price-to-view tradeoffs live in our Al Hirschfeld Theatre seating guide.
When Should You See Now You See Me Live?
- Mid-November weeknights are the calmest stretch of the run, before the holiday crush settles over Midtown.
- Thanksgiving week through New Year’s is peak tourist season around Times Square. Expect fuller houses and busier streets, and book earlier.
- The final week (Dec 28 – Jan 3) overlaps New Year’s Eve, when the area around Times Square gets heavily restricted. If you’re going that week, read our NYC New Year’s Eve guide first.
