Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Prudential Center: 2026 Tickets & Concert Guide
Two shows on the day after Christmas: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve, followed by a second set of TSO favorites. Here’s how to pick a showtime, where to sit for the lasers and pyro, and how to get to Newark and back.
For a lot of families in the New York area, Trans-Siberian Orchestra is the holiday tradition that comes with a light show. In 2026 the band hits 30 years on the road, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Prudential Center lands on Saturday, December 26: two performances, one at 3 PM and one at 7:30 PM, built around a reworked staging of The Ghosts of Christmas Eve plus a second set.
Of the tour dates announced in September, Newark is the closest stop to Manhattan. There’s no New York City or Long Island date on the list, and the next-nearest shows are Philadelphia on December 20 and Uncasville, Connecticut, on November 29. If you want TSO this winter without a long drive, TSO at Prudential Center is the one, and it’s a short train ride from Manhattan.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra Newark Tickets — December 26, 2026
Trans-Siberian Orchestra Prudential Center tickets (TSO Prudential Center tickets, as most fans search for them) went on sale to the public on September 18 through Ticketmaster, after a venue presale the day before. Both performances are listed separately, so you’re choosing a showtime and a seat at the same time. Here’s what to check before you buy.
Pick the show first
The 3 PM and 7:30 PM shows are separate events with separate seat maps. Prices and availability can differ between them, so look at both.
Primary vs resale
Original tickets come from the venue’s ticketing partner. Resale listings are fans and brokers reselling, often above or below what they paid.
Compare the total
The cheapest list price isn’t always the cheapest at checkout once fees are added. Compare the final number.
Read the seat notes
“Limited view,” “side view” or “rear view” means part of the stage is blocked. With a show this visual, that matters.
Buying for a group?
Large blocks of seats together go faster than pairs. If you need four or more side by side, don’t wait for prices to drop.
Charity built in
TSO says at least $1 from every ticket sold goes to local charities in each tour city.
3 PM vs. 7:30 PM — Which TSO Performance Should You Choose?
Both performances are billed as the same production: The Ghosts of Christmas Eve followed by a second set. We haven’t seen anything official saying the matinee is shorter or different, so pick based on how you want the day to go.
| ☀️ 3 PM Matinee | 🌙 7:30 PM Evening | |
|---|---|---|
| Best for | Families with younger kids, day-trippers | Adults, date nights, a full night out |
| Getting home | Back in Manhattan in the evening | Late train or drive. Check schedules first |
| Eating | Lunch before, dinner after | Early dinner before |
| The rest of the day | Free evening | Free daytime for holiday plans |
| The light show | Indoor arena, so the lasers look the same | Same show, with a night-out feel walking in after dark |
The deciding question
How are you getting home? If you’re taking the train back to New York and don’t want to watch the clock during the encore, the 3 PM show makes the day easy. If you’re driving or staying in Newark, the 7:30 PM show is the classic version of the night.
Trans-Siberian Orchestra Ticket Prices — What Should You Expect?
TSO’s official site advertises tickets “starting as low as $59” plus tax where applicable, and the band says it expanded its lower-priced inventory in every city for 2026. Treat that as the advertised starting point at face value, not a guarantee of what you’ll see today. Cheaper seats go first, and resale prices change with demand.
What moves the price
- How close you sit and how centered
- Lower bowl vs upper level vs floor
- Matinee vs evening demand
- How close it is to December 26
Where cheap seats still work
- Centered upper-level seats show the whole laser rig
- Front rows of an upper section beat the back of a side section
- Avoid “cheap” side-stage seats that miss the screens
For timing, our guide on when to buy concert tickets explains how prices usually move before a show. If you’re cutting it close, finding last-minute concert tickets covers where late seats turn up. Holiday shows can tighten up in the final week, especially for groups.

Best Seats for Trans-Siberian Orchestra at Prudential Center
TSO is a show you watch as much as hear. Lasers fan over the crowd, pyro goes off and the lighting fills the arena. That changes the usual concert math. Being right up against the stage matters less here than seeing the whole picture.
Lower bowl, facing the stage
Raised enough to see over the floor, close enough to feel the pyro, and centered so the whole light show lines up in front of you. For most buyers this is the best TSO seat in the building.
Front floor
Great for watching the guitarists and violinist and feeling the heat. Past the first rows, the flat floor makes it harder to see, especially for kids and shorter fans.
Upper level, centered
Lasers and lighting often look better from higher up, where you can see the patterns across the whole room. A strong budget pick if you stay centered.
Extreme side-stage
Close on paper, but you may see the side of the set and miss parts of the screens and effects. Only worth it at a clear discount.
The stage layout for December 26 will be on your ticket seller’s event map, so check it for your showtime. For the full breakdown of the arena’s levels, floor setups and seat views, see our Prudential Center concert seating guide.
What Is The Ghosts of Christmas Eve?
The Ghosts of Christmas Eve is one of TSO’s holiday rock operas: a Christmas Eve story told in music and narration, played by a full rock band with strings, singers and a lot of pyrotechnics. For the 30th anniversary, the band calls the 2026 version a reimagined staging, followed by a second set of TSO classics and what the official site calls rarely performed gems.
Act one: the story
A narrated holiday tale with a beginning, middle and end. You don’t need to know it going in.
Act two: the concert
A higher-energy set of TSO favorites once the story wraps up.
The spectacle
Lasers, pyrotechnics and special effects. Expect it to be loud and bright.
How Long Is a Trans-Siberian Orchestra Concert?
TSO hasn’t published a running time for the 2026 show. Past tours have commonly been reported at around two and a half hours, and the 2026 format is a full production plus a second set. Plan for a long show rather than a quick one, and don’t count on a formal intermission unless the venue announces one.
For the 3 PM performance, a realistic plan is arena in the early afternoon and out around early evening. For the 7:30 PM performance, expect to leave late, and add time to get out of a sold-out arena and onto the train. Prudential Center says doors generally open 60 to 90 minutes before an event, so check your ticket or the event page for the exact time.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra 2026 Setlist — What Songs Might You Hear?
No official 2026 setlist has been announced. What’s announced is the format: the Ghosts of Christmas Eve production, then a second set that the band describes as TSO classics plus rarely performed songs.
That said, it would be a surprise if the night skipped “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24,” the band’s signature song and part of the original Ghosts of Christmas Eve special. Treat any other song predictions as educated guesses, and be wary of sites posting a “2026 setlist” before the tour starts on November 19. Those are usually last year’s lists.
Is Trans-Siberian Orchestra Good for Families and Kids?
It’s one of the more family-friendly arena shows of the season. The holiday theme, the story and the spectacle hold kids’ attention better than a standard rock concert. A few things to plan for:
- It’s loud. This is a rock show. Bring ear protection for younger kids. Prudential Center’s KultureCity sensory bags, which include noise-canceling headphones, can be borrowed at Guest Services outside Sections 9 and 114.
- Bright lights and pyro. Flashing lights, lasers and fire effects are a big part of the show. Think twice if anyone in your group is sensitive to them.
- It’s long. The 3 PM show suits younger kids better than a late finish.
- Tickets for kids. Prudential Center’s general policy is that children over two need a ticket, and children under two can sit on a lap. Ticket policies can vary by event, so check at checkout.

December 26 travel tip

Step-by-step directions, transfers and late-night options are in our guide on how to get to Prudential Center.

Prudential Center Entry, Bags and Concert-Day Tips
- Bags: the arena’s A–Z guide lists bags larger than 14″ x 12″ x 6″, backpacks of any size, and hard-sided bags as prohibited. Another line in the same guide says bags aren’t currently permitted, so check the arena’s Entry Policy before you go. Pay lockers are available outside the M&M’s Tower and the Lafayette Street entrance.
- Security: everyone goes through screening. Leave extra time, especially for the evening show when the matinee crowd is leaving.
- Doors vs showtime: 3 PM and 7:30 PM are start times. Doors usually open 60 to 90 minutes earlier.
- No re-entry: Prudential Center doesn’t allow re-entry during events except for medical needs.
- Accessibility: accessible seats are sold through Ticketmaster or the ADA line at 800-877-7575. Elevators reach all public areas.

Is It Worth Traveling From NYC to See TSO in Newark?
Yes, for most people. With no New York City date on the announced tour, Newark is the easy option: one train from Manhattan, a two-block walk, and a full arena production. Pair the matinee with an evening in the city, or make the 7:30 PM show your night out and plan the ride home before you go. The main thing to watch is holiday transit on December 26, especially after the evening show.
